Can I skip Miui Update?


If you mean you are at miui 7 and the lastest version that is going on in market is 9 .And you are thinking that you want to update directly from Miui 7 to Miui 9 . Yes you can do it.


How can i skip the miui update?

There are two ways:-
1) You will directly get the notification for the new update in your Redmi Device.
2) Manually flashing the update.

Direct update,

Sometimes these skip update doesn't show on device so you have to use the second method.

Manually Flashing,

Go to google and search for download Latest miui for xyz (here xyz is your device name and model number) then you will find many website select your best site and download the file. The fill will be in ".zip" extension.

After you downloaded that ".zip" file then open your settings then About phone then System UPDATE then click the miui logo 6-7 times then you can see some additional options. As you clicked 6-7 times You will see a new option in top right hand side three button as "Choose update package" click that and find your downloaded zip file and select that . If the download is not corrupted then your device will successfully update. If its corrupted dont worry you will see a message as corrected file cant update.

So its safe you will not harm your device.
